Probate and Estate Administration

When someone dies still owning property that is not subject to a will or beneficiary designation, there is important work to be done. It is in the interest of the State of Oklahoma and your family to determine who is entitled to own your assets following your death.

If you die with a will, the process to determine how your assets are transferred is called Probate. If you die intestate, or without a will or other plan, then a very similar process is called Estate Administration.

Tallgrass Estate Planning can assist with this process, regardless of the size and complexity of the estate, ensuring that all necessary documents are filed with the court and published in the paper at the right time, that the right people are notified at the right time, that the inventory and accounting are done properly, and that the process unfolds as efficiently as possible under the circumstances.

We are also equipped, when necessary, to assist with any objections are contests that arise during the process.
